ABOUT BRAND LIBRARY & ART CENTER GALLERY:
The Brand Library & Art Center Gallery offers one of the most stunning exhibition spaces in Southern California and provides Glendale residents a professional gallery experience in their own community. The curated exhibitions offer an array of art that reflect a variety of media, styles, and cultures and provide diverse viewing experiences.
Brand Library & Art Center Gallery presents four to six city-funded exhibitions each year including one annual juried show, sponsored by the Associates of Brand Library. Additional exhibitions or showcases may be presented at the discretion of the Gallery Director and as the schedule allows.
Exhibitions represent individual artists, group shows, guest curators, or art associations throughout Southern California. The Gallery Director determines selection, dates, and duration of exhibitions. Criteria for selection include but are not limited to: an artist’s resume, an appropriate body of work that is compatible with the gallery mission, space, and show curation, and the ability to work with a challenging and changing schedule.
Installation of each show is limited to a maximum of two weeks. Most exhibitions will be given a 5 day window for installation. To insure the completion of installations under this time schedule and allow for necessary gallery maintenance and preparation, the Gallery Director and Gallery Staff is responsible for the design, layout and installation of the exhibition. For Guest Curators, the design and layout will be discussed and agreed on before the installation dates.
